About Praxis

Experienced judgment for moments when the path forward is not obvious.

Praxis exists to help people make sense of complex situations, act with confidence, and communicate a path forward that others can understand and support.

Founder perspective

Built from experience inside the work.

Richard Chirdo founded Praxis Advisory Group after more than 20 years working across the MedTech lifecycle—where product, quality, operations, programs, people, and business priorities must come together in the real world.

His experience spans project and program leadership, product development, downstream transfer and realization, quality and design systems, operations, scalability, integration, transformation, and the coaching and development of leaders and teams. That breadth matters because difficult problems rarely stay inside one function.

Praxis brings that operating perspective to clients who need more than theory: they need a practical way to understand the situation, make a sound decision, and turn it into action.

The Praxis difference

See the system.Clarify the decision.Make the next move practical.

Praxis is not built around generic templates or advice detached from the operating environment. The work is tailored, evidence-informed, and designed to be used.

Perspective

System-level understanding

Look beyond the visible issue to the decision rights, incentives, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and ways of working around it.

Judgment

Experience-grounded challenge

Test the current thinking with the practical judgment that comes from building, scaling, transferring, improving, and leading in complex environments.

Application

Action that can be defended

Translate the assessment into priorities, ownership, communication, and next steps that are clear enough to use and strong enough to stand behind.

Working principles

Clear, direct, and proportionate to the need.

Praxis aims to be the calm, experienced thought partner who helps make a difficult situation manageable without making it artificially simple.

  • Start with the real question. A well-framed engagement prevents activity from replacing progress.
  • Make assumptions and constraints visible. What was once true may no longer be true.
  • Seek the right evidence. Documents matter; so do the perspectives of the people doing and receiving the work.
  • Keep recommendations practical. Advice should reflect the client’s environment and ability to act.
  • Respect confidentiality and boundaries. The method and participants should fit the situation and the client’s choices.

A focused advisory practice

Right-sized for the client and the question.

Praxis is intentionally building around well-matched engagements where experienced judgment can create meaningful value. That may be an individual leader who needs confidential guidance, a project team that needs a fresh diagnosis, or an organization preparing for a major stage of growth.

Praxis does not replace legal counsel, financial advisors, mental-health professionals, HR investigations, or formal credentialed assessments. When a need falls outside the practice, the responsible answer is to say so.

Practical guidance begins with a clear understanding of the situation.
